The Second Home Office in Chase City
Begun in 1938, the new home office in Chase City is now complete. W.W. himself fashions the bricks for the building.

1944

Bristow Lines Purchase
The partial purchase of Bristow Lines is a big risk at the time, but it ultimately pays off significantly for the company.

1946

First Home Office in Richmond, VA
The company moves the home office to Seventh and Bainbridge in the state capital to take advantage of the more central location and provide the space necessary to handle the booming business in the post-war economy. A break-bulk terminal is also established in Richmond.

1948

Incorporation
The company is incorporated on November 23.
